About Me
A native of Reading, PA, Matt spent over 25 years in the music industry, performing and teaching internationally. After deciding it was time for a change in 2017, his lifelong interest in woodworking grew serious enough that he decided to head back to school full time, enrolling in the cabinetmaking and wood technology program at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA.
He holds degrees from Mansfield University and Michigan State University. He has also studied at Boston University and the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. Matt has over 30 years of teaching experience, having held positions at Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University, Michigan State University, Millersville University, Franklin and Marshall University, Montclair State University, and Kutztown University. Despite (or perhaps because of) all of that, Matt considers himself a life-long student; every experience is a chance to learn.
Matt is currently the Wood Studio Manager at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.
